How much content do I need to have a channel on Lasoo?
Channels are essentially branded collections of content, but within that description there's a great deal of flexibility. Lasoo can support a variety of content models:
- a collection of small films
- an extensive film library
- a TV mini-series
- a TV series with hundreds of episodes
- a video library of themed events (sports, concerts, lectures, etc.)
- ...and just about anything you can imagine in between and beyond.
Unlike traditional television, on-demand television doesn't require content to be scheduled 24 X 7. A Lasoo channel might carry far more content (like an archive or library) or far less. Content providers decide for themselves. However, for those content providers who only have a single film or an extremely limited amount of content, Lasoo may be able to find an existing channel that can distribute your content.
Security
Lasoo uses Microsoft® Windows Media® Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology, which is the industry standard for DRM, to secure all content. By comparison, DVDs are highly vulnerable to piracy, since their "encryption" is long-broken and DVD duplication software is widely available. Microsoft DRM uses a much stronger encryption methodology that makes piracy difficult. In addition, Lasoo's virtual set-top box technology restricts access to the Windows Media files, making unauthorized copying even more difficult.
